Dr. Michelle LeBlanc

Dr. Michelle Lyons-LeBlanc was born in New Orleans and grew up in the small quaint town of Garyville located near LaPlace.  After graduating from St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace, she attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she made the decision to become a chiropractor and moved to Marietta, Georgia to attend Life Chiropractic University.

Upon completion of her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1999, Dr. LeBlanc knew she had to return to the home she loved. She started her own practice in Metairie in 2000 where she treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions such as headaches, asthma, neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, allergies, sinus, and ear infections in kids.

Dr. LeBlanc took specialized training courses in the Webster Technique.  The theoretical and clinical framework of the Webster Technique in the care of pregnant women is that sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia).  Dystocia is caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, baby mal-presentation and maternal emotions. The correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.  In regards to pregnant mothers, Dr. Webster reported that when a mother sought care and her baby was in a breech position, the restoration of pelvic neuro-biomechanics with this adjustment also frequently facilitated optimal fetal positioning.  There are cases published in the chiropractic literature that support this theory.  Dr. LeBlanc has helped hundreds of pregnant moms and babies to achieve overall good health.

In 2001 Dr.LeBlanc was chosen to be the first Doctor of Chiropractic in the metro area to host a national campaign called Kids Day America where approximately 200 local children received complimentary fingerprinting, health education awareness, and spinal screenings.  Kid's Day was such a huge hit in the community she hosted it again in 2002.

As a member of the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and Business Networking International, Dr. LeBlanc is able to keep up to date on all of the latest breakthroughs in chiropractic practice and is a popular speaker on such subjects as Balancing Hormones Naturally, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and Fibromyalgia just to name a few.

Dr. LeBlanc is married to Randy LeBlanc and they have been blessed with 2 beautiful daughters, Isabella 4 and Sophia 2. And of course both girls have been under chiropractic care since birth.
